JEFFERSON CITY — A 51-year-old Ste. Genevieve man suffered minor injuries in a traffic crash on Route C in St. Francois County Saturday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports John W. Merrifield was taken to Parkland Health Center in Farmington by a patrol trooper.
The patrol says Merrifield was the driver of a westbound 2022 Subaru Legacy which crossed the center line and struck an eastbound 2011 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 21-year-old Devin M. Francis of Ste. Genevieve. After the impact, the Subaru struck the trailer being towed by the Silveado. The Subaru then ran off the right side of the roadway. The driver of the Silverado was not hurt.
Both drivers were buckled up.
The crash happened about 8:13 p.m. east of Route D.
The Subaru was a total loss. The Silverado had extensive damage. Both were towed from the scene.
