Kathy Ann Cagle, 64, of Bernie, Missouri, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior Friday, April 29, 2022, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Kathy, the daughter of James A. and Ruth Nell (Leadbetter) Lovins, was born March 15, 1958, in Powe, Missouri. After completing her education Kathy married the love of her life Rodney K. ‘Rod’ Cagle on September 20, 1980, in Malden. They lived in Bernie and later moved Perryville, Missouri. After 18 years they moved back home to Bernie. She was of the Baptist faith and had retired from USDA Rural Development. Kathy radiated peace and love to everyone, especially to her family. She had a deep sense of humor and was a wonderful storyteller. Kathy loved to travel, whether in the states or abroad. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and grandchildren, never missing a rodeo event or activity in which they were involved. She will be missed by all.
Survivors include her loving husband, Rod of the home; two sons, Rayne (Michele) Cagle of Bernie and Dr. Grant Cagle of Providence, Rhode Island; two grandchildren, Jayci, and Braylon Cagle; and a brother, James C. Lovins all of Bernie.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Joyce Hicks and Linda Ruth Miller, and a sister-in-law Linda Jane Lovins
A Celebration of Life will begin at 6 PM Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at The Gathering at 1430 N Outer Rd, Dexter, MO 63841. Pastor Rick White will officiate, and family rodeo friend Austin Williams will speak.
