Amschler, Kevin J

A funeral will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2022 for 54-year-old Kevin J Amschler of Old Appleton, Missouri who passed away Friday, April 22, 2022 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis.

 

He was born June 16, 1967 the son of Herman J. and VeldaLee (Ruch) Amschler.

 

He married Theresa on June 6, 1992 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek.

 

He is survived by two daughters: Brittany (Tristan) Geile of Scopus and Brianna (boyfriend Cody Strop) Amschler of Old Appleton, and a grandchild due in September.

 

He was preceded in death by his father.

 

He worked as a traveling salesman for Cape Electric for 22 years.

 

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek, where he served on the Parish Council, the Maintenance Committee, and the Mens and Womens Organization.

 

He was also a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus #1263 and a member of the Western Catholic Union.  He served as the mayor for Old Appleton for over 20 years. 

 

He enjoyed hanging out at Ron’s Butcher Shop with his friends and riding around town with Clyde.

 

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2022 and 8-9:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville. 

 

A funeral mass for 54-year-old Kevin J Amschler of Old Appleton will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at St. Joseph Apple Creek with Father John Schneider officiating.  Burial will be at St. Michael Cemetery.

 

Memorial contributions may be given to the Old Appleton Brushhawks or St. Joseph Catholic Church, Apple Creek.
