Charges filed in connection to burglaries

PERRYVILLE — A second suspect is now in custody in connection with a series of burglaries on Route BB and Route T.

Perry County Sheriff Gary Schaaf says 31-year-old Dustin Bishop of Desloge has been charged with second degree burglary and stealing and is currently being held in the Perry County Jail on a $25,000 cash only bond.

 

Bishop is also being investigated by authorities in Ste. Genevieve and St. Francois Counties.

 

 

Earlier this week 30-year-old Joseph A. Shelly of Farmington. was charged with three counts of felony burglary, one count of felony stealing, two counts of misdemeanor stealing, and one count of misdemeanor property damage in connection with the same burglaries.

 

Shelly is also being held at the Perry County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond.
