Two Chester residents receive minor injuries in Highway 51 crash in Missouri

JEFFERSON CITY — Two Chester residents suffered minor injuries in a traffic crash on Highway 51 in Perry County, Mo. Monday afternoon.

 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 15-year-old boy and 46-year-old Carrie Burgdorf were taken to Memorial Hospital in Chester by ambulance.

 

The patrol says the crash happened when a northbound 2013 Jeep Patriot driven by Burgdorf stopped on the roadway and was struck in the rear by a northbound 2006 Dodge 2500 driven by Christopher M. Hayer of Sparta, Illinois. The 15-year-old boy was a passenger in the Burgdorf vehicle. All three persons were buckled up.

 

The crash happened about 3:50 p.m. north of Perry County Road 944.
