SGHS freshman recognized in SEMO 2021-2022 Katherine Hinchey Cochran writing achievement awards

STE. GENEVIEVE —Ste. Genevieve High School Freshman Jayden Rickman recently earned second place in the 2021-2022 Katherine Hinchey Cochran Writing Achievement Awards from Southeast Missouri State University.

Jayden wrote a fictional piece, “The Story of the Girl That Went Missing.”

 

The purpose of these awards are to provide encouragement to students to cultivate their interest in writing.

 

The awards are named in honor of Katherine Jane Hinchey Cochran, a writer, artist, and historian, whose generous bequest made the ceremony possible.
