Kim Catherine Kaucher

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, April 24, 2022 for 67-year-old Kim Catherine Kaucher of Perryville, Mo, who passed away March 24, 2022, of a stroke; surrounded by her sisters and dear friends at St. Francis Medical Center, Cape Girardeau.

Kim was born October 18,1954 in Lansing, Mich., to Vincent J. and Stella D. (Berlese) Carillot.

Kim married Harry Kaucher in 1982 and they had two daughters, Anita L. Kaucher of Barnhart, Mo, and Nicole M. (Dale) Bates of Crystal City, Mo.

They divorced and Harry passed away in 2015.

Kim grew up in Michigan and right after high school she headed west, looking for the best place to call home, which she found in Perryville.

Kim’s last jobs into retirement included eight years at Walmart, then at Rozier’s, and finally, at Perryville Market where she made darn sure stock was in the right place.

Kim was preceded in death by her parents, Stella D Carillot of Michigan and Colorado, and Vincent J (Lucy) Carillot of Georgia, and Harry Kaucher.

To Kimmy, Kim-Cat (a borrowed poem that’s a perfect fit)

You meant so much to all of us,
You were special and that’s no lie,
You brightened up the darkest day,
And the cloudiest sky.

Your smile alone warmed hearts,
Your laugh was like music to hear,
We would give absolutely anything,
To have you well and standing near.

Not a second passes,
When you’re not on our minds,
Your love we will never forget,
The hurt will ease in time.

Many tears we have seen and cried,
They have all poured out like rain,
We know that you are happy now,
And no longer in any pain.

We love and miss you!

Kim is survived by her daughters, four grandchildren Harry Kaucher, Danica Arnold, Roman and Raven Bates, her three sisters Della (Tom) Sullivan and Chris (Tom) VanBourgondien of Colorado and Anita Carillot of Michigan, AND her MANY kind, funny, caring friends, including those at Knights of Columbus, Am Vets, Eagles, St Vincent de Paul Church, and her neighbors.

A celebration of Kim’s life will take place on April 24, 2022, at the Knights of Columbus Club Room.
