Volunteers brave inclement weather to distribute food

CHESTER – For the third month in-a-row volunteers at the monthly Chester Area Christian Food Pantry (CACFP) Mobile Market faced inclement weather. 

 

Wednesday March 23 was rainy, cold and breezy as approximately 25 dependable volunteers served roughly 73 vouchered automobiles at the March 2022 Mobile Market.

Visitors to the event received bags of fresh apples, potatoes, oranges, whipped cream, frozen French fries, a variety bag of selected items, frozen chicken legs, mixed vegetable boxes and other items. 

 

For the month of February, the CACFP served 131 households with 318 individuals.  The next Mobile Market will be held Wednesday April 27 at the Cohen Recreation Complex in Chester at approximately 8:30 a.m.
