COVID-19 cases: Mo is down, Ste. Gen and Perry Co’s are up

JEFFERSON CITY — The number of new COVID-19 cases is down in the state of Missouri and up in both Ste. Genevieve and Perry Counties according to the latest figures from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.

 

The state agency reports the number of confirmed and probable cases statewide for the seven days ending March 22 was 1,369, down 348 or 20 percent from the 1,717 reported for the week ending March 15.

 

In Perry County there were four new cases, up from the one reported during the week ending March 15.

 

In Ste. Genevieve County there were five new cases during the week ending March 22, which was up four from the one reported during the week ending March 15.

 

The Department of Health and Senior Services reports the state vaccination rate is 56.5 percent. Perry County is 40.8 percent vaccinated and Ste. Genevieve County is 46.7 percent vaccinated.
