The Pechacek Funeral Home has announced the passing of 80-year-old Rose Ann Walls of Ellis Grove, Illinois, at 2:29 a.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Independence Care Center, Perryville, Missouri.
She was born September 21, 1941 in Evansville, Ill. the daughter of Harold and Clementine (nee Bleem) Wunderlich who both preceded her in death.
Rose married Jerry L. Walls on September 1, 1958 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Evansville; he survives in Ellis Grove, Ill.
She is also survived by three children: Tim (Sharon) Walls, and Dan (Gail) Walls, both of Chester, and Gary (Sandy) Walls of Walsh, Ill.; a brother: Alvin Wunderlich of Chester; four grandchildren: Becky McClelland, Robert Walls, Erica Walls and Daniel Walls; and four great grandchildren: Dylan McClelland, Ashlyn Young, Noah Walls and Violet Walls
She had worked as a guard at Menard Correctional Center in Chester for 27 years.
Rose was a member of First Baptist Church in Ellis Grove, Illinois.
She enjoyed sewing, flower gardening and loved to travel in the camper with her husband Jerry.
It was Rose’s wish to be cremated.
