Jackson resident charged with DWI following Perry Co. traffic crash

JEFFERSON CITY — An 18-year-old Jackson resident has been charged with driving while intoxicated following a traffic crash on Route T in Perry County Sunday morning.

 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Marley K. Lowes was the driver of a 2016 Kia Forte which ran off the road striking a sign and a tree.

 

The patrol says Lowes had moderate injuries in the crash and was taken by helicopter to SSM Health St. Louis. Two other persons in the Kia were also hurt: 21-year-old Blake M. Shinabarger of Perryville had serious injuries and was flown to Mercy St. Louis Hospital and a 17-year-old Perryville girl had minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

 

The patrol says everyone except for Shinabarger was buckled up.

 

The crash happened about 9 a.m. west of Woodridge Lane.
