STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve’s 4th Friday Art Walk returns March 25, with art spaces throughout the downtown open from 6-9 p.m.
Galleries and businesses that will be showing art include Common Grounds coffee house, which is hosting its first annual “All Together” art show and sale. Cash prizes from the Ste Genevieve R-II School District will be awarded during the Art Walk. The display features artwork that is “informed by inclusivity.” Artwork is for sale.
Also in the midtown historic district Silver Sycamore Gallery of Fine Art will feature award-winning plein air artist Farley Lewis who will give a short talk and demonstration at 7pm. The gallery also promises “a surprise or two” in its new upstairs exhibit. Lewis will be giving a workshop at the gallery on Friday and Saturday (March 26).
There’s a chance to make art of your own at Brix Urban Winery where they’ll be hosting Maker’s Night and a barrel stave painting event from 6pm to 7pm. The Sainte Genevieve Art Guild will show work by member artists at the Ste. Genevieve Art Center and Art Museum.
In the North Main Street Art District artist Terri Cavins will have original work on display and for sale at Beanik Cafe. Orders will also be taken for custom pet and family portraits.
Music Art Love will feature mixed media artist Angie Dalton. Live music will be provided by Paul Hogenmiller from 4pm to 9pm.
New work by local artist J Rissover will be shown at E•KleK•Tix Gallery and Studio and Rust, Only Child Originals and Masquerade will be participating in the art event.
“We’re pleased to be kicking off a new season for the Art Walk,” a spokesperson said. “Ste. Genevieve has a long and rich tradition as an art community. We think this year will be better than ever.”
