JEFFERSON CITY — A 21-year-old Jackson woman suffered minor injuries in a three-vehicle traffic crash on Route C in Cape Girardeau County Thursday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Elaine E. Edwards was taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for treatment.
The patrol says Edwards was the driver of a 2020 Hyundai Elantra. The other two cars were a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu driven by a 16-year-old Jackson girl and the third vehicle was a 2014 Hyundai Sonata driven by 19-year-old Anna M. Buchheit of Perryville.
The patrol says the accident happened when the 16-year-old failed to yield to Buchheit.
Buchheit’s car then struck the 16-year-old’s car and pushed the 16-year-old’s car into the Edwards car,
All three drivers were buckled up. All three vehicles received moderate damage and were towed from the scene.
The crash happened about 9:15 p.m. on Route C, one-half mile north of Fruitland.
