STE. GENEVIEVE – Fossils are everywhere. They are found across the globe — at the tops of mountains, at the bottoms of seas and everywhere in between. Sometimes they are even found in our own backyards!
However, not everything we find is a fossil.
Have you found a fossil?Find out for sure by bringing it (or up to 5 specimens) to the Museum and Learning Center.
The Fossil Identification Clinic will be held at the Museum and Learning Center across from Market and DuBourg Streets in Ste. Genevieve Wednesday, March 23 – Noon – 3 p.m.
Museum curator, Guy Darrough, will look at some specific details like weight, color, porosity, etc. and let you know what you really found!Maybe you found a crinoid; a trilobite; or maybe a dinosaur!
