A funeral will be held Monday, March 21, 2022 for 80-year-old Virginia D. Moore of Saint Mary, Mo. who passed away Monday, March 14, 2022 at her daughter’s residence in Bismarck, Mo.
She was born January 13, 1942 in St. Mary, Mo. The daughter of William J. Bruckerhoff and Edna L (Moll) Bruckerhoff, who both preceded her in death.
She married Earl Moore on May 15, 1965. She preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son: James Moore of Saint Mary; two daughters: Christina Bequette of Saint Mary, Lisa (Steve) Moore of Bismark, Mo.; two brothers: Clyde Bruckerhoff of Saint Mary, and James F. Bruckerhoff of Saint Mary; two sisters: Clara Mertze of St. Louis, Mo., and Betty Stennett of Saint Mary; a sister-in-law: Susan Schaffner; grandchildren: Tiffany, Caleb, and Caden, Adam, Nathan, Emelie (Ryan), Mark Jr., Matthew, and Ben; great-grandchildren: Abraham, Jacob, and Tanner, Brandon, Katie and Rylie, Grace and John; special nephew: Justin Moll and special niece: Stephanie Moll and several other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by five brothers: Vernon E. Bruckerhoff, Billy Joe Bruckerhoff, Francis Bruckerhoff, Anthony Bruckerhoff, and Johnny Bruckerhoff; and two sisters: Velma Bruckerhoff and Debbie Denninger.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Mary.
She attended Catholic Grade School in St. Mary and graduated from St. Vincent High School in Perryville.
She worked ten years at Prince Gardner in St. Mary and was a cook at Riverview Nursing Home for twenty years.
Virginia was an amazing foster mother, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She truly cared about everyone she met.
She would do anything for anyone especially if you bought her a lottery ticket!
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2022 and 8:30-10 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2022 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve.
A funeral for 80-year-old Virginia D. Moore of Saint Mary will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2022 at the Basler Funeral Home. Pastor Ed Carter will officiate.
Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in St. Mary.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
