81-year-old Vernon “Skip” Clemens, of Festus passed away March 3, 2022.
He was born July 10, 1940 in Ste. Genevieve, the son of Myrtella (LeClere) and Vernon Clemens, who both preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife: Jocelyn Clemens; a child: Jocelyn (Nancy) Clemens of St. Louis; two sisters: Susie Clemens and Diann (Gary) Teeters; two brothers: Bill (Lou) Clemens and John (Dee) Clemens; and many nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
He served in the U.S. Army where he learned truck mechanics while stationed in Korea.
He also learned a few trades locally and became an over-the-road truck driver, retiring after more than 30 years.
He enjoyed car shows and listening to music, and loved spending time with family and friends. Born
Burial was in St. Louis.
