PERRYVILLE — Sales tax receipts are up in Perryville, but the use tax is down.
The city’s one percent general sales tax brought in $182,439.51 in February, an increase of $2,896.51 or 1.6 percent over February of 2021.
So far this year, the tax has brought in $325,256.20 which is up $6,924.66 or 2.1 percent from the first two months of 2021.
Similar percentage increases were seen in the city’s two other taxes which are dedicated to mass transportation and capital improvements.
Perryville’s consolidated city use tax brought in $40,710.20 last month, which is down $29,240.92 from February 2021.
The year to date figure is $72,616.20, and that is down $29,380.68 from the first two months of 2021.
