COVID-19 numbers continue to fall in Mo, Perry and Ste. Gen Counties

JEFFERSON CITY — The number of new COVID-19 cases is down in the state of Missouri and down in Ste. Genevieve and Perry Counties according to the latest figures from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.

 

The state agency reports the number of confirmed and probable cases statewide for the seven days ending March 8 was 2,257 down 947 from the week ending March 1st. That’s a drop of nearly 30 percent.

 

In Perry County there were seven new confirmed and probable cases during the week ending March 8, which was five or 29 percent from the 12 reported for the week ending March 1.

 

In Ste. Genevieve County there were two new cases during the week ending March 8, which was the same as was reported during the week ending March 1.

 

The Department of Health and Senior Services reports the state vaccination rate is 56.3 percent. Perry County is 40.7 percent vaccinated and Ste. Genevieve County is 46.7 percent vaccinated.
