Ste. Genevieve man hurt in Highway 32 crash

JEFFERSON CITY — A 59-year-old Ste. Genevieve man suffered moderate injuries in a traffic crash on Highway 32 in Ste. Genevieve County late Saturday morning.

 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 59-year-old James H. Deimund was taken to Mercy Hospital South by ambulance.

 

The patrol says Deimund was the driver of a 1999 Ford F250 which was eastbound on 32 when it collided with a 2017 Freightliner Springer which was attempting to make a left turn from westbound 32.

 

The driver of the Freightliner, 63-year-old Mikhail G. Akinshiv of Lincoln, Nebraska, was not hurt.

 

A third vehicle, a 2015 Lexus driven by Mary E. Oberle of Ste. Genevieve was struck by cargo which came off the Freightliner. Oberle was not hurt.

 

The crash happened about 11:35 a.m. west of Route B.

 

The patrol says all three drivers were buckled up.
