COVID numbers down in Mo, Ste. Gen Co., up in Perry County

JEFFERSON CITY — The number of new COVID-19 cases is down in the state of Missouri and Ste. Genevieve County but is up in Perry County according to the latest figures from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.

 

The state agency reports the number of confirmed and probable cases statewide for the seven days ending March 1st was 3,204 down 2,123 or 40 percent from the 5,327 for the week ending February 22.

 

In Perry County there were 12 new confirmed and probable cases during the week ending March 1, which was up four or 50 percent from the eight reported for the week ending February 22.

 

In Ste. Genevieve County there were two new cases during the week ending March 1, which was down 22 or 91 percent from the 23 cases reported the week ending February 22.

 

The Department of Health and Senior Services reports the state vaccination rate is 56.2 percent. Perry County is 40.6 percent vaccinated and Ste. Genevieve County is 46.7 percent vaccinated.
