JEFFERSON CITY — Even before COVID-19, Missouri faced a critical shortage of health care professionals. The pandemic has only made this situation more severe. In response, the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry is hosting Missouri’s first-ever virtual Health Care Career Day to inspire students to pursue health care careers on Friday, Feb. 25, 2022.
This free event for students and educators will showcase Missouri’s cutting-edge health care organizations and educational institutions, highlighting a variety of health care career pathways with video tours and interviews as well as live Q&A with real Missouri health care professionals.
Featured organizations include St. Luke’s Health System, BJC Healthcare, Cox Health, Boone Health, Hannibal Regional Healthcare System, Mosaic Life Care, MU Health Care and St. Francis Healthcare System. The full agenda is available at mochamber.com/health-care-career-day.
More than 6,000 K-12 and higher education students, across 13 states and roughly 200 schools, are registered to attend.
Health Care Career Day was developed by the Missouri Chamber Foundation in partnership with the Missouri Hospital Association and the Missouri Dept. of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Members of the press are welcome to tune in for any portion of Facebook Live event on the Missouri Chamber’s Facebook page.
