STE. GENEVIEVE – During the week of March 6 – 12, communities across the state will honor the dedicated service of local boards of education during School Board Recognition Week, as proclaimed by Governor Michael Parson.
The Ste. Genevieve R-II Board of Education is made up of (front row, from left) member Martha Resinger, President David Bova, member Geralyn Diesel; (back row) member Rick Rudloff, member Jim Kirchner, Secretary Terry McDaniel, and Vice President Eric Basler.
At the regularly scheduled Ste. Genevieve R-II Board of Education meeting on Feb. 15, 2022, the R-II district recognized and thanked Ste. Genevieve school board members for their service and dedication. The board was recognized with a certificate from the Missouri School Boards’ Association and a proclamation from Governor Michael Parson.
“We want to take this opportunity to make sure our Board members know how much we appreciate their service to our students and to our schools,” Dr. Flieg said. “I can’t express enough how much each of them have helped me along the way, and we want to share a heartfelt thank you to them for keeping our students the priority in the decisions that they make.”
The goal of School Board Recognition Week is to build awareness and understanding of the important function an elected board of education plays in communities and schools. All Missouri citizens are asked to recognize the important contributions of these men and women and focus attention on the vital role these public officials play in the education of Missouri’s children.
School Board Recognition Week is sponsored by the Missouri School Boards’ Association. MSBA is a private, not-for-profit organization that exists to help school boards succeed.
