A graveside service will be held at a later date for 73-year-old Jo Ann Laminack of Chester, Ill. who passed away at 8:20 am, Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home, Chester.
She was born March 14, 1948 in Cypress, Ill., the daughter of Woodrow and Ruby (nee Johnson) Spraggs, who both preceded her in death.
Jo married Donald Laminack on November 29, 1968 in Anna Jonesboro, Illinois; he preceded her in death on March 22, 2014.
She is survived by a daughter: Lorie (Thomas) Rakers of Chester; two siblings: Bonnie (Jerry) Sullivan and Richard Spraggs; two grandchildren: Kelsey (Brian) Upchurch and Dylan Hentzel; a great granddaughter: Brooklyn Hentzel; several nieces, nephews and two aunts.
She was also preceded in death by a brother: Steve Spraggs and a half sister: Kathryn Lindsey.
She was a homemaker.
Jo was of the Christian Faith.
She enjoyed watching television, planting flowers, watching classic movies and sewing.
It was Jo’s wish to be cremated. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
