A funeral will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022 for 83-year-old Ottolene Mary Hayden of Perryville, Mo. who passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022 at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, Mo.
She was born December 17, 1938 in Perryville, the daughter of Valle Andrew and Emma Evelyn (Weisler) Emmendorfer, who both preceded her in death.
Ottolene and Roy Wayne Hayden were married on March 8, 1976 and were blessed with 45 years of marriage.
Survivors include four daughters: Chris (Lonnie) Williams of Perryville, Mary Lisa (Frank) Schafer of Perryville, Karen (Patrick) Meyer of Perryville, and Sharon (Richard) Simpson of Perryville; two sons: James Piller of Billings, Mont., and Jeff (Lisa) Piller of Perryville; a brother: David Emmendorfer of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; a special nephew, Larry D. Beckerman of St. Peters, Mo.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter.
She was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Perryville, and worked as a registered nurse for several convalescent care centers and hospitals during her career.
Ottolene enjoyed playing bingo, reading, and playing on her iPad.
She loved her career as a nurse and taking care of others, and spending time with her two cats JoJo and Muffy.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2022 and 8-10 a.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2022 with Rosary at 8:30 a.m. at the Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral for 83-year-old Ottolene Mary Hayden of Perryville will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville with the Deacon John Darin officiating.
Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to Humane Society of Cape Girardeau.
