MODHSS: COVID-19 numbers continue to fall

JEFFERSON CITY — The number of new COVID-19 cases has fallen in Missouri and locally.

 

According to figures from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, the number of confirmed and probable cases for the seven days ending February 1 was 37,994 which is down 39 percent from the seven days ending January 25th.

 

In Perry County there were 135 new confirmed and probable cases during the seven days ending February 1 which is down 41 percent from the number of new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 during the seven days ending January 25th.

 

In Ste. Genevieve County there were 119 new confirmed and probable cases, which is down 15 percent from the 140 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 during the seven days ending January 25.

 

The Department of Health and Senior Services reports the state vaccination rate is 55.4 percent. Perry County is 40.1 percent vaccinated and Ste. Genevieve County is 46.3 percent vaccinated.
