A funeral mass will be held Friday, February 11, 2022 for 60-year-old Jim “Jumbo Cat” Meyer of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022.
He was born April 9, 1961 in Ste. Genevieve, Mo., the son of Charles Meyer of Arnold, Clarabelle Meyer of Arnold.
He is also survived by a son: Joshua (Taylor) Meyer of Sainte Genevieve; two daughters: Abby (Jon) Roth of Sainte Genevieve and Emma Meyer of Bloomsdale, Mo.; three brothers: Rick (Paula) Meyer of Sainte Genevieve, Rod Meyer of Sainte Genevieve, and Mike (Michelle) Meyer of Sainte Genevieve; two sisters: Renee (Mike) Hess of Arnold and Sherry (Paul) Vaeth of Sainte Genevieve; the mother of the children: Pam Meyer of Bloomsdale; three granddaughters: Isabella Glore of Sainte Genevieve, Rylan Roth of Sainte Genevieve and Renley Roth of Sainte Genevieve and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by many family and friends.
Jim was a devoted member of the Sainte Genevieve Elks Lodge and many other organizations.
Jumbo Cat was a loving Father and very proud “Papa Cat”.
He enjoyed his time fishing and jeeping.
He was the happiest when he spent time with his family.
He was always willing to give his shirt off his back to anyone in need.
He never met a stranger.
He will be greatly missed by all he leaves behind.
A funeral mass for 60-year-old Jim “Jumbo Cat” Meyer of Sainte Genevieve will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 11, 2022 at the St. Joseph Church. The Rev. Henry Purcell will officiate.
Celebration of Life will be held at the Sainte Genevieve American Legion on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 12 noon.
Memorials may be made to family use.
