Good Samaritan attacked after stopping to help

PERRYVILLE — A woman, who reportedly stopped to help what appeared to be two stranded men and a two year old child on the side of I-55 in Perry County, is now recovering from injuries she says the men inflicted on her after she stopped her car to help them.

 

After the incident, the woman called 911 and then used her phone to disable her car. It was later recovered in Ste. Genevieve County.

 

According to reports the woman suffered a broken leg and other injuries in the incident and was taken to Perry County Memorial Hospital.

 

The two men and the child have not yet been located.

 

The incident reportedly happened about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the 132.2 mile marker which is between Brewer and Perryville.
