A funeral will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 for 90-year-old Carl J. Wehner of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away Monday, January 31, 2022 at his home.
He was born March 5, 1931 in Ste. Genevieve, the son of Walter W. Wehner and Wilma B. (Oberle) Wehner, who both preceded him in death.
He married Marilyn (Cabral) Wehner November 16, 1957. She survives in Ste. Genevieve.
He is also survived by a daughter: Rebecca Wehner of Sainte Genevieve; a brother: Neil (Rowena) Wehner of Sainte Genevieve; and a sister-in-law: Earlyn Wehner of Sainte Genevieve.
He was also preceded in death by his son: Christy Wehner; and his twin brother: Paul Wehner.
He was a member of Ste. Genevieve Jaycee Club and Knights of Columbus 1037, and he served in the US Army Reserves.
Carl was known for his baking skills of coffee cakes and jelly fingers.
Whenever Carl could he would always state his opinions at Ste. Genevieve City Hall.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve.
A funeral for 90-year-old Carl J. Wehner of Sainte Genevieve will be held at 12 noon Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Edward Nemeth will officiate.
Burial will be at Crestlawn Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve with military graveside services performed by VFW Post 2210.
