A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 27, 2022 for 96-year-old Lily Mae Renner of Chester, Ill., who passed away at 12:23 a.m., Tuesday, January 25, 2021 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home, Chester.
She was born January 11, 1926 in Boss, Mo., the daughter of Frank and Myrtle (nee Radford) Canady who both preceded her in death.
She married Edmund P. Renner November 7, 1942 in Perryville, Mo.; he preceded her in death on November 15, 2010.
Survivors include two grandchildren: Jacqueline (Jess) Cushman and Derek Link (Ashley Graves); three great grandchildren: Joseph Cushman, Jakob Cushman and Emma Link and a step great grandchild: Mason Cain.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Sandy (Jack) Link, two sisters: Gladys (Raymond) Fortner and Ruby (Pete) Fortner and two brothers: Leonard (Bessie) Canady and Raymond (Rosie) Canady.
She was a homemaker.
Mae was a member of Our Lady of Victory in Sereno, Missouri.
She was a 50-plus year member of the Eagles Club in Chester and Ste. Genevieve and a previous member of the Moose Lodge No. 1764 and the American Legion Post No. 487 Auxiliary in Chester.
Mae was also involved in the Chester Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and was a member of the CMA Hall in St. Mary.
She enjoyed dancing, square dancing, sewing and crafts and loved to play cards.
A graveside service for 96-year-old Lily Mae Renner of Chester will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Paradise Cemetery in Steeleville, Ill. with Danny Miller officiating.
