A funeral will be held Monday, January 24, 2022 for 82-year-old Gerald L. Glaus of Jacksonville who passed away Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, in Jacksonville.
He was born April 27, 1939, in St. Louis, the son of Gilbert and Lena Yount Glaus, who both preceded him in death.
He married, Mary L. Moser, Jan. 17, 1998, at Christ the King Church in Springfield. She survives.
Gerry was employed at Home Depot in Jacksonville after retiring from Passavant engineering dept.
He was a member of Our Savior Catholic Church in Jacksonville, Knights of Columbus in New Berlin, 4th Degree Knights of Columbus in Springfield, Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem and Bench Rest Rifle Club in St. Louis.
Gerry was a Kansas City Chiefs fan, avid reader, and a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus in New Berlin. He enjoyed walking and drag racing.
Visitation will be held 10-11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 24, 2022, at the Church of Ste. Genevieve, with a funeral mass to follow at the church.
