A funeral will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2022 for 85-year-old Gary R. McAtee, of Perryville who passed away Friday, January 21, 2022 at his home.
He was born September 28, 1935 in Perryville, Mo., the son of Elmo W. McAtee and Evelyn Moonier who both preceded him in death.
He married Norma Bert October 15, 1985. She preceded him in death.
He is survived by three daughters: Julie (Tim) Brewer, Sandy (Wayne) Lukefahr, and Amy (Ray) Warner; a sister: Betty Herron; six grandchildren: Jamie (Jeff Safriet) Brown, Jill (David) Tropf, Matthew (Hannah) Brewer, Casey Brewer, Jacy (Decoda Hall) Lukefahr, and Landon Swallow; six great-grandchildren: Brileigh, Colton, Paisley, Ira, Trenten and Tristan.
He was also preceded in death by a sister: Glenda Barks.
He was a member of the Catholic Faith.
He was a material handler for Chrysler.
He was a Booster of AmVets No. 94 and VFW No. 4282.
Visitation will be 8-11 a.m. Wednesday January 26, 2022 at the Ford & Young Funeral Home.
A funeral for 85-year-old Gary R. McAtee, of Perryville be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the Ford & Young Funeral Home with Casey Brewer officiating.
Burial will be at Home Cemetery in Perryville.
