A funeral will be held Thursday, January 27, 2022 for 88-year-old Agnes “Deets” M. Barron of Paducah, Kentucky, formerly of Ste. Genevieve, Mo. who passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Providence Pointe Healthcare in Paducah, Kentucky.
She was born October 9, 1933 in Sainte Genevieve, the daughter of Louise “Sis” E. (Scherer) Bleckler and Gerald J. Bleckler, who both preceded him in death.
She married Lloyd Barron on October 13, 1951. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter: Gail (Richard) Otte of Paducah, Kent.; two brothers: Larry “Duke” J. (Carol) Bleckler of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., Gerald “Beck” (Mary) Bleckler of Sainte Genevieve; grandchildren: Wendy (Brian) Lopez of Broomfield, Colo.; Richard (Misty) Otte Jr., Lexington, Kent.; Renee (Mathew) Wurth of Paducah, Kent.; Nathan (Jennifer) Eisenbeis, Jackson, Mo.; Jared (Robin) Otte, of Florence, Ala.; great grandchildren: Brady and Gavin Lopez; Connor, Kynlee and Cohen Otte; Abigail, Erica and Owen Wurth; Alex and Bella Eisenbeis; Reese and Maebry Otte; two sisters-in-law: Ruth Barron of Ste. Genevieve and Terrie Barron, Fishkill Plains, NY; and many nieces and nephews
She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Patricia Chilton; four sisters: Margery Brumfield, Lillian Davis, Patricia Bleckler and Joan Bleckler; five brothers: William G. Bleckler, Lemuel M. Bleckler, Tony Bleckler, Roy Bleckler and Ricky Bleckler.
Agnes was retired after working 26 years for Elder’s Shirt Factory, Miss Elaine and Selmor Garmet Co. in Ste. Genevieve.
She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Paducah.
Visitation will be 9-10:45 a.m. Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve.
A funeral for 88-year-old Agnes “Deets” M. Barron of Paducah, Kentucky, formerly of Ste. Genevieve, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Edward Nemeth will officiate.
Burial will be at Crestlawn Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve.
