Valle Catholic High School will conduct local pro-life march, while juniors and seniors are marching in D.C.

STE. GENEVIEVE — To join in solidarity with the Valle Catholic High School juniors and seniors and thousands gathering in Washington D.C. for the March for Life, students and staff from the school will participate in a Ste. Genevieve March for Life today.

The Ste. Genevieve silent witness will begin with an opening prayer at the Valle Gym at 2 p.m. Participants will then proceed from the Valle Desert around the town square just as Valle Catholic juniors, seniors and parents are marching in D.C.

The silent march is to mark the anniversary of the Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion.

The event will culminate with a candlelight prayer service at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The prayer service, What Might Have Been, begins with the story of creation and consists of prayers for all those touched by abortion.

Valle Catholic invites the public to join the march and prayer service.
