HILLSBORO — Jefferson College is pleased to announce a new transfer partnership with Lindenwood University. The program, part of Lindenwood’s Bridge Scholarships, offers a path for Jefferson College students interested in pursuing a four-year degree.
Jefferson College President Dr. Dena McCaffrey and Lindenwood President Dr. John Porter signed the agreement, marking the fourth partnership in Lindenwood’s Bridge Scholarship program across the region.
“This agreement is another way that Jefferson College is working together with other regional institutions for the benefit of our students,” said McCaffrey. “The transfer articulation agreement provides students with a straight-forward path to achieving their goals after graduation and aligns directly with the mission of Jefferson College.”
“Growing our partnerships with two-year schools is a benefit to both institutions and forms a bridge for students who are ready to continue their studies,” Porter said. “I’m so pleased to be here with President McCaffrey and look forward to welcoming many Jefferson students to the Lindenwood community. This agreement is a meaningful commitment to degree-seeking students in Missouri.”
The agreement provides a clear path for Jefferson College students, in addition to scholarship resources. The scholarship, named the Tesson Ferry Scholarship, represents the bridge students will cross when traveling from Jefferson College to Lindenwood.
To qualify for the Tesson Ferry Scholarship, awarded up to $12,000 annually for full-time students who remain in good academic standing, students must enroll in Lindenwood directly from Jefferson College within one year.
Lindenwood is eager to welcome outstanding students from Jefferson College, and invites applicants to apply today. To start an application, visit www.lindenwood.edu/admissions or schedule a campus tour.
