CAPE GIRARDEAU – The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will close its Southeast Regional Office in Cape Girardeau on Jan. 14, and Cape Girardeau Nature Center on Jan. 14 – 15 due to COVID-19. Both locations will reopen Jan. 18.
The Southeast Regional Office will be closed to visitors Friday, Jan. 14. During this time, staff will be available by phone at (573) 290-5730 to assist the public with conservation-related requests. The Southeast Regional Office will also be closed Jan. 17 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
The Nature Center building will be closed to visitors Friday, Jan. 14, and Saturday, Jan. 15. However, the trails and other outdoor areas will remain open. Outdoor and virtual programs scheduled for Jan. 14 – 15 are also canceled. For more information, call Cape Girardeau Nature Center at (573) 290-5218.
