A funeral will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 for 85-year-old Joan Elizabeth Mueller of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., who passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital in Sainte Genevieve.
She was born February 4, 1936 in Sainte Genevieve, the daughter of Anton C Trautman; and Ida (Figge) Trautman who both preceded her in death.
She married Henry Mueller April 8, 1961. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son: Brad (Carrie) Mueller of High Ridge, Mo.; a daughter: Julie (Mike) Kirk of Parker, Colo.; a brother: Jim Trautman of Sainte Genevieve, Mo.; grandchildren: Zach Lovell, Brianna (Dale) ter Haar and Natalie (Tim) Kirk; and great grandchildren Thomas and Ella ter Haar
She was also preceded in death by a brother: Gerald J. Trautman; and an aunt: Ulita Figge.
She was a member of the Ste. Genevieve Catholic Church and volunteered at Riverview at the Park Care and Rehabilitation Center and at Park Meadows and numerous charities.
She lived her life with positivity, love, joy and above all else faith.
She always made everyone feel so special and loved.
Referred to by family, relatives and friends as “Grandma Joanie” and “Aunt Joanie”.
She is united once again with the love of her life, dancing in heaven with her soul mate Henry.
We will always remember her smile and the loving friend she was to so many.
Visitation will be 9:30-11 a.m. Friday, January 14, 2022 at the Church of Ste. Genevieve in Sainte Genevieve.
A funeral for 85-year-old Joan Elizabeth Mueller of Sainte Genevieve will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 14, 2022 at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Edward Nemeth will officiate.
Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve.
Memorials may be made to the Church of Ste. Genevieve.
