A funeral will be held Friday, January 7, 2022 for 90-year-old Rosalie M (Breig) Schwent of Festus, Mo. who passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Crystal Oaks Assisted Living in Festus, Mo.
She was born January 25, 1931 in St. Mary, Mo., the daughter of Henry J. Brieg and Dora A. (Giesler) Breig, who both preceded her in death.
She married Clarence Schwent. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by five daughters: Jean (Wayne) Feyerhern of Alexandria, Virginia, Joan Marie (Glenn) Waeckerle of St. Louis, Mo., Kathy Hogenmiller of Washington, Mo., Peggy (Gary) Gaertner of Jackson, Mo., and Debbie (Dick) Rose of Festus, Mo.; Three sons: Mark (Eliza) Kertz of Pahoa, Ill., Tom (Vickie) Kertz of Biehle, Mo., and Alan (Kay) Kertz of Snohomish, Wash.; a sister: Yvonne (Ivan) Brewer of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; a stepson: Robert Schwent of Fla.; a stepdaughter: Sharon (Jerry) Riley of the state of Illinois; 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son: James Wayne Kertz; and two brothers: Melvin Brieg and Henry A Breig.
She was a member of the group home board for more than twenty years and enjoyed making rosaries.
Rosalie loved spending time with her family.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2022 at the Church of Ste. Genevieve in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
A funeral for 90-year-old Rosalie M (Breig) Schwent of Festus will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2022 at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Edward Nemeth will officiate.
Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
