JEFFERSON CITY — Two Crystal City residents were hurt in a traffic crash on I-55 in Ste. Genevieve County Saturday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 50-year-old Melissa S. Chadd had moderate injuries and 29-year-old Matthew S. Curnell had minor injuries.
Both were taken to Perry County Memorial Hospital by Ste. Genevieve County ambulance.
The patrol says the crash happened when a southbound 2020 Dodge Journey driven by Chadd ran off the right side of the road, struck a mile marker and then a rock bluff.
The patrol says both occupants were buckled up.
The Dodge was a total loss.
The crash happened about 10:25 a.m. at mile marker 141.8.
