Ralph Lee Hutson

The Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve has announced the passing of 92-year-old Ralph Lee Hutson of Saint Mary, Mo. who passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021.

He was born February 11, 1929 in Farmington, Mo.

 

He married Carol (Siebert) Hutson on June 16, 2006. She survives in St. Mary.

 

He is also survived by two daughters: Velinda (Charles) Anderson of Festus, Mo. and Barbie Vartanian of Tampa, Fla.; two stepsons: Brad (Jill) Flieg of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. and Travis (Stacey) Flieg of O’Fallon, Mo.; Two Sons, Rob Christy of Jackson, Mo. and Bryan Christy of Mandeville, La.; and a sister: Marilyn Carron of Aldeo, Tex.

He was also preceded in death by six brothers: Harry Hutson, Tom Hutson, Lloyd Huston, Uel Huston, Wayne Hutson, Donald Hutson; Sister and Melvadine Buckholtz.

 

Ralph was a retired captain from American Commerical Barge Line.

 

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post 2210, American Legion, Am. Vets, and the Elks in Perryville.

 

He was a member of the Little Saline Sportmans Club and a Shriner.

 

Ralph enjoyed socializing with family and friends, especially his tow boat buddies on the river.
