A funeral will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021 for 82-year-old Bernita Clara Light of Perryville, Mo who passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Independence Care Center.
She was born July 5, 1939 in Perryville, The daughter of Hugo F. and Christina (Buchheit) Triller, who both preceded her in death.
She married Leonard Light in October 1959 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons: Don (Lori) Light and Mike (Linda) Light both of Biehle, Mo.; a brother: Jerry (Margie) Triller of Apple Creek, Mo.; a sister-in-law: Helen Triller; five grandchildren: Jessica (Justin) Farrar, Ryan Light, Nicole Meyer, Garrett (Logan) Light, Jacob Light; seven great-grandchildren: Natasha Farrar, Tess Farrar, Lily, Brody, Kynnah, and Eli Meyer, Lane and Linkin Light.
She was also preceded in death by a sister: Mary Lou Berkbigler; three brothers: Dennis Triller, Leon Triller, and Gene Triller.
Bernita was a secretary for Buchheit and Light Cement.
She was a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2021, and 8-9:20 a.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the Ford and Young Funeral Home in Perryville. Rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m.
A funeral mass for 82-year-old Bernita Clara Light of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021 at St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle with Fr. Patrick Christopher officiating.
Burial will be at St. Maurus Catholic Cemetery in Biehle.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Maurus Catholic Church or American Cancer Society.
