Morocco University students talk global citizenship with SGMS World History Class

STE. GENEVIEVE — Recently, Dr. Rhett Oldham’s eighth grade World History class was invited to a virtual discussion on global citizenship with university students in Morocco.

Students held the virtual discussion “What Does It Mean to Be a Global Citizen and An American?” with Dr. Mohamed Bettaoui’s English class at Hasson I University in Settat.

Students discussed the topic over Zoom and then the floor was open for questions.

The questions were deep and thought-provoking.

“I can’t begin to describe how proud I am of my students when talking to the university students in Morocco,” Dr. Oldham said. “This is just one more example of how students at SGMS rise to the level of expectation and represent our community in a positive way.”
