JEFFERSON CITY — The number of new COVID-19 cases in Missouri rose slightly between the weeks ending December 14th and 17th according to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Service.
The seven-day total of confirmed and probable cases was 18,796, an increase of about one percent for the week ending December 14.
The number of confirmed and probable deaths during the period was 34.
The average number of confirmed and probable cases per day was nearly 2,685.
The vaccination rate in Missouri is 53.1 percent for those who have completed the vaccination series.
Perry County had 45 confirmed and probable cases for the week ending December 17th, a 13 percent increase over the seven days ending December 14th. That’s a daily average of 6.4 new cases a day.
There were no new deaths during the period.
The vaccination rate in Perry County is 38.8 percent.
Ste. Genevieve County had 58 new confirmed and probable cases during the seven days ending December 17, a 45 percent increase over the seven days ending December 14. That’s an average of 8.3 new cases a day.
There were no new deaths during the period.
