MoDHSS reports the latest COVID-19 numbers

JEFFERSON CITY — The number of new COVID-19 cases in Missouri rose by nearly five percent between December 10th and 12th according to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Service.

The seven day total of confirmed and probable cases was 18,589 for the week ending December 14. That is a 4.6 percent increase over the previous report for the week ending December 12th.

The number of confirmed and probable deaths during the period was one.

The average number of confirmed and probable cases per day was nearly 2,656.

The vaccination rate in Missouri is 52.9 percent for those who have completed the vaccination series.

Perry County had 40 confirmed and probable cases for the week ending December 14th, a 29 percent increase over the seven days ending December 12th. That’s a daily average of 5.7 new cases a day.

There were no deaths during the period.

The vaccination rate in Perry County is 38.7 percent.

Ste. Genevieve County had 40 new confirmed and probable cases during the seven days ending December 14, a five percent increase over the seven days ending December 12. That’s an average of 5.7 new cases a day.

There were no deaths during the period.

The vaccination rate in Ste. Genevieve County 44.6 percent.
