A funeral will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021 for 84-year-old June A. Bodenschatz of Perryville, Missouri who passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021.
She was born February 5, 1937 in Perryville, daughter of John Hagan and Lillian Glaub, who both preceded her in death.
She married Raymond R. Bodenschatz July 9, 1955 at St. Boniface Catholic Church.
She is survived by three sons: Randy (Connie) Bodenschatz of St. Charles, Mo., Rick (Sheila) Bodenschatz of Wildwood, Mo., Roger (Lori) Bodenschatz of Jefferson City, Mo.; two daughters: Tammy (Randy) Richardet of Perryville and Tina (Mark) Hadler of Wildwood, Mo.; 12 grandchildren: Daniel (Emily) Bodenschatz, Lauren (Matt) Bruns, Adam (Jessie Kinnison) Richardet, Brett (Krista) Richardet, Will (Katherine) Richardet, Phillip (Samantha) Bodenschatz, Alex Bodenschatz, Zachary (Fiancee Carrie) Hadler, Madison Hadler, Austin (Fiancee Shannon) Bodenschatz, Logan (Brandon Erwin) Bodenschatz; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by six brothers: Vince, Harry, Joseph, James, Jerome and John; and a sister: Rita Wibbenmeyer.
She was a beautician and business owner.
She was a member of the Perry County School District No. 32 Board of Education, she held various offices on the PTO at St. Vincent High School, den mother and leader of the Girl Scouts, organized bus transportation for football state championships, organized and chaperoned senior high school trips to Florida, a member of the Ladies Sodality and National Guard Auxiliary.
She was a member of the Catholic faith and Catholic ADA organizer.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2021 and 8-10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 23, 2021 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.
A funeral mass for 84-year-old June A. Bodenschatz of Perryville will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 23, 2021 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville with the Rev. Gerald Blessing officiating.
Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent de Paul School or St. Vincent de Paul Church.
