SIKESTON—Southbound Interstate 55 in Cape Girardeau and Perry Counties will be reduced to one lane Thursday, December 16 through Thursday, December 23, weather permitting as contractor crews perform pavement repairs to the roadway.
This section of roadway is located from mile marker 129, near Perryville to mile marker 105, near Jackson.
Weather permitting, work will be underway from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
