CHESTER — After missing their last two annual Christmas parties, the American Legion Auxiliary is excited to host a “live” Christmas party this year. The event is scheduled for their regular meeting night Monday December 13.
One of the primary organizers of the party is Farida Hollaway who said, “We are excited to be able to get back together this year for a live Christmas party. We had to cancel last year due to Covid restrictions and we are ready to have a great time this year. We need to get the word out to all of our members so we can have a good turnout!”
The 2021 Legion Auxiliary Christmas party will take place at the American Legion Post 487 club. The event will begin at 5:00 p.m. All members are strongly encouraged to attend.
Hollaway said, “The first drink from the bar is going to be FREE! There will be a cash bar thereafter. We will also have FREE food and FREE spiked punch throughout the evening. It should be a good time!”
In order to purchase and prepare the proper amount of food, it is necessary for all members who plan to attend the event to R.S.V.P. by no later than Wednesday December 8th by calling the American Legion at (618) 826-3015.
Hollaway said, “We are really excited and looking forward to getting together again for a live Christmas party this year. I sure do hope that we have a great turnout for good food, drinks and fellowship. It will be a great way to help celebrate the holiday season with friends and fellow Legion Auxiliary members.”
