STE. GENEVIEVE — The Ste. Genevieve Art Guild kicks off its celebration of the holiday season this weekend with a “sneak peek” of its Holiday Art Extravaganza. It is the 35th year for the art show.
“The Christmas show is always one of the best art shows of the year,” show Committee Chairman Vicki Cummings said. “Our artists have created a variety of work including paintings, pottery, fiber art, sculpture, prints, cards and work in other media. It’s a chance to find the perfect gift for that special person or yourself.”
Raffle tickets will be available for this year’s award-winning painting, a winter landscape created by member Linda Buis. (The drawing will take place on Sunday, December 5.)
The official opening reception for the show will held be Saturday, December 4, during the town’s Holiday Festival.
The Ste. Genevieve Art Center & Art Museum is located in Ste. Genevieve’s old museum building at 310 Merchant Street. The Center is open from 11am to 3pm each Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
