STEELEVILLE, Ill. — The Steeleville Police Department, Chester Police Department, and the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office have once again teamed up for their 4th annual Cops and Kids at Christmas program!
Cops and Kids at Christmas provides families in need this holiday season the opportunity to go holiday shopping with a member of local law enforcement.
The program hopes to build a solid relationship between law enforcement and children, teaching them that a police officer can be a resource for advice and also be there when they need a friend.
Applications for Cops and Kids at Christmas can be picked up at the Steeleville Village Hall, Percy Village Hall, Chester Police Department, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, and Chester Wal-Mart.
Applications need to be completed and returned by December 1st.
If you would like to donate to the Cops and Kids at Christmas program, make checks payable to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office C/O Cops and Kids at Christmas.
Donations can be dropped off at the Chester Police Department, Steeleville Police Department, and the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.
Arrangements can also be made to pick up the donations.
