A funeral will be held Friday, November 12, 2021 for 85-year-old Palmer E. Fritsche of Perryville, Mo. who died Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born December 16, 1935 in Perryville to Edwin H. and Laura (Koenig) Fritsche who both preceded him in death.
He and Lois J. Allen were married at United Methodist Church in Perryville on June 26, 1982. She survives in Perryville.
He is also survived by two daughters: Deborah (Peter) Diiorio of Hudson, Fla., Tina (Jim) Hutchins of Clearwater, Fla.; two step-children, Richard (Margie) Kramer Sr. of Perryville and Mona (Greg) Chamness of Millersville, Mo.; a brother: Cletus (Jeanette) Fritsche of St. Louis, Mo.; a sister: Carol (Delbert) Lohmann of Creve Coeur, Mo.; three grandchildren: Jeremiah (Lisa) Wagner, Jessica (Jason) Swan, and Danielle Hutchins; five step-grandchildren: Richard Kramer Jr., Daniel (Laura) Kramer, Matthew (Ronda) Kramer, Maria Kramer, and Michelle (Jacob) McIntosh; four great-grandchildren, nine step-great-grandchildren, and one step-great-great-granddaughter.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Harriet Rahe and Lorna Fritsche; and a grandson, Alan Otte.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, Missouri.
Palmer was a dairy farmer his entire life.
He loved his wife, family, his home, and spending time with his dog Heidi.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
Visitation will continue 8:30-10 a.m. Friday, November 12, 2021 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.
A funeral for 85-year-old Palmer E. Fritsche of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, November 12, 2021 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville with the Rev. Joseph Schlie officiating.
Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association or to the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
