STE. GENEVIEVE — The third house fire in Ste. Genevieve in just over two weeks.
It happened early Sunday morning at the corner of Third and Washington Streets.
The lone occupant of the home was hospitalized for treatment of smoke inhalation. His two dogs perished in the fire.
There was no word on a cause.
Previous house fires in Ste. Genevieve happened October 22nd and October 27th.
The first was said to be caused by a natural gas leak, the second was reported to be caused by a vehicle which caught fire.
